Payment
I use PayPal as the only payment processor. Credit card users can use PayPal to pay from their card.
Shipping
Shipping costs are included in all book and DIY-kit prices, even to Europe and Asia. Ready-to-ship orders (DIY kits) are normally shipped within 1 to 2 business days. See individual products for details.
Shipping worldwide is handled through Canada Post. Basic air shipping is included and comes with insurance (my risk). On more expensive parcels, extra insurance, tracking (and in some cases additional processing) fees are added.
Exchanges
Exchanges are accepted if an item has been damaged during transport or arrives defective.
- You must contact me as soon as possible with pictures showing the damaged packaging and product, or a clear description of the defect.
- Shipping fees on exchanges are borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Please notify me by email and wait for my confirmation email before returning any merchandise for exchange.
International Orders
If you have paid duty for the order you received and you are returning it to me, you may be able to claim a refund of duties from your local customs authority. To find out how, and for any other queries about customs duty, please contact your local customs authority.
To help ensure there is no further duty to pay, please mark your return parcel: “RETURNED GOODS – FAILED SALE”.
The declared value listed is for the hardware used in building your unit, and not the full selling price. For kits, the sum of printing and PCB costs is declared. This is the amount I can claim (using receipts, etc.) in the event of a loss.
