Level of difficulty: moderate but still beginner friendly

PCB’s are available once again … thanks for your patience!
The viva Analog Mu3 DIY Kit gives you the opportunity to build a working replica of the viva Analog Mu3 Auto-Filter pedal // my take on the classic “Mustronic Mutron-III” state-variable (biquad) auto-filter …
My original improvement mods to the vintage Mutron-III circuit, posted many eons ago at my other website, include a way of matching the UP/DOWN mode sensitivity so that resetting of the controls is not warranted … something that has since been adopted by the current Mutro-III pedal maker!
This build requires a pair of well-matched Luna (previously, Silonex and Advanced Photonics) NSL-32 opto-couplers … details on how to do this are provided here.
Two build options are possible when mounting into a 1590BB-size box … for example, the box graphics below show top-mounted jacks (eg., for saving space on a pedal board) … and also, the in/out jacks can be mounted on the side as is usually done in FX pedals
This circuit exhibits high headroom and can handle the output signal of any preamp (tube or solid-state) without distorting …
The kit includes a detailed instruction booklet (suitable for beginner DIY’ers), a quality fabbed PCB, and membership to my work forum where extra support is available.

I am including shipping costs into the final price to save hassles to you and me (sorry, I’m not an e-store expert) … in order to pull this off the kit is listed as a “virtual” product … this bypasses (hopefully) the issues some of you may have been having lately with shipping options – thank-you!

Check out Frank Zappa in the first solo of this solo compilation – sure sounds like a Mutron-III operating in “down” mode …
